I have a 56 Bel Air 2 Door Sedan that is missing the two molding pieces that run from the headliner (behind the Quarter Window) down to the package tray (in front of Rear Window). I believe they would be metal.
What the heck are these called?
I've looked in Eckler's and Danchuk and cannot find them. I wanted to do an internet search but have no idea what they are called.

Does anyone have access to an Interior Illustrated Parts Breakdown? If so, would an IPB be available online and would it have these pieces called out?

Thanks

Sounds like the garnish moldings.

chevynut,

The quarter window garnish molding is intact.
No, it is the sloping filler piece that ends at the package tray and hides the roofline.

Could it be cardboard?

I thought it would be metal but maybe not.

Could this be the illusive item I am looking for?

I guessed that they would be metal but cardboard that is painted to match the interior makes sense.

Yes, I believe those "pieces" are part of the headliner, not moldings. I'm not sure how it all gets attached to the rear glass opening, but I know there's supposed to be a tack strip in there. 55's have metal trim around the rear window, but 56-57 don't.
