Been a Chevy lover all my life. First new car was a '57 Belair hardtop w/ corvette engine, close ratio 3-speed, and posi. Have built and raced in drags, bonneville, and modified sports car. My son and I are now working on a '57 two door post w/ 383 stroker, and 700R4 tranny, with stock rear-end w/ 411 posi. Just got the body back on the frame last week-end after complete chassis up grade, ie. power steering, disc brakes, and suspension. Look forward to comparing notes and gaining help from all of you. Glad to find this website

Welcome to the site stroker. Did 57's really come 'new' with Corvette engines? I know they had 2x4s and FI from the factory, but were those the same as the Corvettes of the same year?
