Just heard about this site from a member or maybe former member of "similar site" ;) mcff157. Things were get-in kinda stuffy over there.
I used to build hotrods and race cars for a living as well as custom exhaust and general auto repairs got do what ever it takes to keep the light on. Sold my shop back in 1998 and thought my car building days were behind me but here I am.
I have my 56 Nomad now for 5 years she's pretty rough but a work in progress. Planning on some simple tasteful body mods, lowering it 2-1/2" in the front possibly a 4 link in the rear or maybe just move the rear springs inward so I can stuff some bigger tires under it. have a 383 stroker with tri power sitting over in the corner of the shop just waiting to go in. 4 spd or maybe a 5 spd who knows, I'll let you know the day I bolt it up to the engine. I don't have a specific deadline as I enjoy building cars now not as a business but rather as a form of therapy. My wife is into cars also she has a 1966 Mustang that I am also restoring should be on the road this spring, but she says if the right Corvair comes her way the Mustangs gone. My other vice is old Harley's I've got a few....
