Hello All! I'm in Seattle Wa here and I just got a 55 2 door wagon, I've been wanting a 55 for quite a while, mostly looking at 2 door post cars. But this one came up locally and I jumped on it. I've always liked wagons and the two door style is just awesome. The wagon has a bored over 1958 283 with an edelbrock manifold and 1406 carb, Sanderson cast iron headers, 3" exhaust, Muncie M21 and a 3.55 geared stock typed rearend with no posi (yet). It has late model Cadillac seats 60/40 electric leather in front and the stock rear springs have had the Cadillac covers modified and put in place, it still folds down nicely for use of the cargo area. Seems like an older restoration the seller said it was painted and had the 283 rebuilt in 1997. It has a points distributor. Stock manual brakes. The car was originally a six cylinder with a three on the tree, the steering column has the old shifter linkage arm sticking out of it in the engine bay and the nub in the interior. Most everything seems to work, with the exception of the right turn signal. and the back windows need help. I've been a Chevy guy for a while and have a 71 Nova and a 74 Malibu classic as well. I'm looking forward to driving the car ALOT!! If anybody reads this from my area and is in North Seattle I'd love to hear from you and meat at a local cruise in, I attend the Friday cruise in at Taco Time in Lynnwood Wa on 196th and 44th regularly.
