Aluminum Water Pumps

Looking at buying a new water pump for my sbc (Gen 1). With Edelbrock, Weiand, Moroso ect..to choose from. Any opinions?

IMO any brand name pump is going to work fine. I used a reverse-rotation Edelbrock on my 502.

Consider Stewart also.

Not sure I'd rank Weiand with the rest.

I've had great service for many years from my Edelbrock (short) aluminum pump.

I've installed dozens of Howard Stewart's pieces on dirt late model engines and never had the first issue with any of them. Could be others that are as good, but for me they have proven track record in a very harsh environment.
