Im trying to get a set of lap belts in my 55. Has anyone done this without cutting up the bench seat in order to route it through the seat somehow?

You don't have to do anything to the seat to install the belts. The inner belt just comes through between the lower cushion and the back cushion. The outer belt comes around the outside of the seat.

I thought that was pretty obvious. How many millions of cars were shipped like that? Seems to me that both belts could come through the seat.
