Does anyone know of anyone who's replacing the quarter panels on their 55 Nomad? I have a friend of a friend who is looking for a pair of wheel openings from a set of old quarters that he wants to put on his car. Any leads would be appreciated.

I don't know why EMI/Sherman isn't stamping these wheelwell sections. It seems like they would be popular, and I think they could use their existing tooling.

Myself, I wouldn't want to weld and metal finish just the wheel cutout unless I had to. Just too much work. A lot easier to use a full quarter. Actually what they sell isn't a "full" quarter, it's just most of it.

I dont know what year the car it is but there is a volvo that the front fender is the same cut as a 55 nomad

I will try to find out.

I believe you are right, Sid. I think I read that on Chevy Talk. The guy used the front fenders and posted a pic and they sure looked factory, if I remember right.
I'll take a look-see, Chevynut, and get back to you.

I think this is it , also this is the car that they where installed into .

1988 volvo/240 front fender's cut out the lip radius and put the left one on
the right side and the the right one on the left side.

Thanks Sid

Sorry guys, I don't think that looks anything like 55 Nomad rear wheelwell openings. :)
