I read somewhere that different models have different sun visors. I thought they were all the same. Does anyone know what the difference is, and which ones a Nomad is supposed to have? I'm pretty sure if there's a difference it would be between HTs and Sedans, since the windshield is different. I have several sets of them and I don't know which I should use. I'm not sure if I have the original ones out of my Nomad though.

Thanks Carl. But my question still isn't addressed. I noticed Muttonhollow sells repops and says they're the same for all models xcept convertibles.

Ecklers has a different part number for every year and model...WTF? The pics all look the same to me.

I don't know the answer to your question.

Are the Eckler's ones upholstered? That might make them at least partially body style dependent.

Laszlo, i wish i could provide a link, but going off memory i think the sun-visors are all the same except convertibles. I wonder if you could contact on of the upholstery places like Cidella (Spelling) who make kits for trivfives, and get a more defining answer, but i am 99% sure it is convertible that is only different.

Yeah, maybe that's it. They have the uncovered ones and it looks like the sedans and HTs are all the same as far as the shape. It seems weird to have that many part numbers, though, with each one having color options.

have different # for verts, nomads, ht, ect.. you would think that means they are different in some way.

My 56 Nomad visors, they have a small 1-1/2" strip of metal attached to the visor by the hinge & on the opposite end a 1/4" strip.
It measures 18-3/4" long x 5-1/2" wide with a return measurement of 3" from end to hinge.

I saw some photos of what were apparently convertible ones, they have an offset at both ends relative to where they attach to the hinge mechanism, where the others are straight on one side and offset on the other.

Question is, did other models have the same shape as the convertible ones? Sounds like most don't think so.

Rick, Ecklers is showing convertible ones as a different design, but the rest of them are the same. I just don't understand why they list 150, 210, and Belair as different. Looks like the sedans and HTs all take the same cardboard and pivot rods. Maybe the stainless is different on them as OTD showed? I really don't care about that as long as I get the right shape.

Just went through the new CARS Inc. catalog

The 56 convertible has it's own visors, probably because the rod sticks out on both ends.

The Belair 2 & 4 door hardtop, 2 door & 4 door sedan, Nomad, Delray. 6 & 9 passenger wagon, 210 2 & 4 door hardtop, 150 2 & 4 door sedan & 150 wagon all share the same visors except for color.

The 210 2 & 4 door sedan has a different pattern on it with it's own part number.

The 210 2 & 4 door wagon has a different part number.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, OTD. In other words they're all the same shape except the convertible.
