Hi Guys

Just installed new lights in my home shop .

I installed LED's 11,240 Lumens 116 W 120V/220V 116 W units

They are so much better than any fluorescent lights you can buy !!!!!!!!!!!

Bulbs only, whole fixture, part number, brand, length, replaces? I'm certain there will be othr questions. Oh, cost?

Twenty years a post on new shop lights would have not interested me, today I fully understand the importance of good lighting.

Are they carrying them at the normal places like Home Depot

4-4ft T8 lamp fixture provides 11200L at 160watt so you save around 44w/h. 10hr/day saves $2.00/month at $0.15/kwh. Not a quick payback I think. But if you have to buy new anyway then might as well buy those.

Any 8' units. I'm going to need a minimum of ten to fifteen. Suppliers?

Looking forward to an update on the lighting choices.

I have a couple of 8' fixtures with lazy ballasts (they use 4' T12 bulbs). With the old bulbs/ballasts being dinosaurs, I need to replace with the best value. Current lighting is adequate when it works, don't necessarily need an upgrade there. Looking for value so price is a factor.

Some of the LED lighting I have is kind of harsh and has some glare. Doesn't seem appropriate for shop lighting unless the right fixtures cure that stuff.

Available in stores? Cost seems pretty high for a hobby deal. I.e., I don't spend 40-80 hours a week in the shop.

Hi Guys , Yes they are not cheap lights but you can not beat them The ones I got are $309 each they are 4 Foot . They sell many types and sizes .
These are so new that we got a rebate from the power company & The supply company gave us a Big break on the price as we replaced 50 High Pressure Sodium lights in the shop .
We also had to agree to let the customers of MaxLed come into our plant to see how good they are .

At Home they are hard to belive how much they improve the light , Where I live its cold and fluorescent lights work like Shit.
I dont even have to turn them on or off they have sensors on them so when I walk in they come on when I get 10 feet from the light, if I leave the area in the shop then the light turns off.
