Could someone tell me if there is a bolt in spring and rear end and what would be the donor car or truck? Thanks

Olds/Pontiac 9.3 is about as close as your going to get. If your adding more power and drag radials, then I would go another way. If not, then why not rebuild the existing unit? Tell us a little more about the application/goals

I thought a 1st gen Camaro rear was pretty much a bolt-in. I remember helping a friend bolt one into his 57 years ago, and I don't even think we had to move the spring perches. The problem is a 12-bolt is going to be pretty expensive. Anything else from a donor is likely going to take some modification.

As JT asked, what are you trying to do?

I don't think the Camaro spring pads are in the right place for a bolt in.

The only one I know of is a 57 Pontiac, then you can use any 57-64 Pontiac/Olds 3rd member. However, 59 up has a different axle spline count than 57-58. And Old/Pontiac stuff is next to impossible to find.

If you concede that you need to weld some spring pads, that opens up many possibilities.

I believe you still have to modify the draft shaft with the Old/Pontiac too.

I believe you still have to modify the draft shaft with the Old/Pontiac too.

When I replaced the 1966 Chevelle 12 Bolt posi in my 56 with a 57 Olds I had to shorten driveshaft, so I used a 77 Olds Cutlass shaft as it used Olds 3R style u-joints like the 57 Olds. I have 3 Olds/Pontiac rears laying around now and have yet to pay more than the $100 for one at Pate. There is no such thing as a bolt in rear for these Cars as the 57 Pontiac needs driveshaft mods and has 5 on 5 BC wheels. With a perch change a 71-74 Nova 8.5 is both close and affordable, the days of $50 for a 12 Bolt appear to be over.
