Where are you guys mounting the ecm and the LS fuse & relays? I have mounted the ecm behind the passenger inner fender. But most harness companies design them to hide everything inside. So just curious how and where did you locate them in your build.
Thanks
Rocky

I'm going to mount mine on the inner fender.

Others will want to hide the pcm somewhere. Usually that means an extended harness. The fuses and relays need some kind of access even if hidden.

You really need to get rid of that battery box. To me that's a far bigger (and functional) eyesore than any computer or fuse/relay box.

I agree. Why not mount the ECM on the firewall where the battery box is now? It really depends on how "clean" you want the engine compartment to be. If you're trying to hide everything, put it on the inside of the firewall. Mine is in my console. :)

Rick, are you working on your car? I haven't seen any updates for months...years? ;)

Unfortunately I'm all talk and little/no action in recent times. However I've not totally lost interest, I will be back at it before long.

On the other hand, I'm not a guy that posts what I did today or this week.

Now how could I have the original modern look I'm working on if I get rid of the battery box?
I guess I'm going to have to send you two engineers in for more diversity training lol.

Seriously we are all on the same page. I have my ecm mounted behind the inner fender its pretty much hidden but can be excessed easy for service if needed. I had planed to mount a small fuse/relay box on the inner fender just out of the hinges path. The speartech harness I'm looking at has the fuses and relays separate and requires additional external fan relays. I'm hoping I can convince John Speartech to build my harness to connect to a current performance fuse relay box or similar. I have one mounted on my inner fender of my cutlass. Very compact clean and easy access. My engine bay is turning out to be amazing clean as far as wires etc and I have made no efforts to do so. The cards have just fail in place.

The relay/fuse panel I'm going to use has all the computer fuses (main power, keyed power, 2 injector fuses (one for each bank), plus it has relays for the fans, headlights and more). Speartech can probably supply one for you that does all that.

Rick do you know the brand of the panel your using? This is the one I have it made my first swap wiring very easy.

The panel I'm using is oem, from a Camaro. It has similar capabilities to the one you linked.

This is pretty slick way to hide them but I'm guessing you have to lay on the ground and pull the mud flap off to access.
