Needing to replace front brake hose on Disc brake assembly on my 55. The kit came from CCI years ago--does any one know application of NAPA part number for the front brake hoses. Used to have application but can't find it as usual. Calipers are from Chevelle as per kit. Really shouldn't have to order on line---thanks

I use the 1969 Camaro hose, you can also use the 1969 Chevelle hose but the Chevelle hose is about 1.5" shorter and it's very close to being too short. Both are 7/16" banjo, watch that you don't have a newer caliper that uses the 10mm banjo. If you do have the 10mm banjo style then use the 1979 Camaro hose.

I have an old CCI brackets on my 56 and I used the same hoses as my 74 Z28, they clip in the stock location. I too found some application's short.

Did you fail at the advice given you on chevytalk? There were at least two solutions that might work for you, in fact one definitely will.

Their advice was good with the part number especially. Just like to consider all options as I contacted CCI twice asking for a part number for the hose. used to have an older parts catalog where they had interchange info on their brake kits. Guess when I retired i lost it when I brought all my stuff home. Also just thought it might be easier to get part number than to make several trips to parts house. Thanks

The only thing you need to know is the banjo bolt size (7/16" or 10mm) The 69 Camaro hose IS the correct one for 7/16" and 1979 Camaro IS the right one for 10mm
You need no other info.

Even easier tell them a 74 Camaro because they ALL have disk brakes and use the same hose. At least 50% of 69s are drum in front.

1969-71 Camaro is the same hose (7/16" banjo-disc brakes) 1974 Camaro hose is 7/16" but it's not the same hose as a 69-71, I don't know what the difference is, maybe length or other but the 1969-71 Hose is the perfect length if you have 7/16" banjos.
The 1979 Camaro hose is the perfect length if you have 10mm banjos.

Length is important too, the length required depends on the brackets used. That's where the advice I gave him at chevytalk comes in.

Several manufacturers make better brake hoses, as Rick said the bracket is critical to length.

The only thing that would change hose length is if the calipers are front mounted instead of rear mounted. All rear mounted kits with 11" rotors and big GM calipers would use the same length ideally, there is only one rotor that fits and it's 11" diameter. The big GM caliper is mounted the same regardless. Mounting calipers to front changes length because of the fixed hardline nut position

Length is important too,

That's what she said. :D

She didn't say what the hose part number was, or did I miss that?

LOL.

I run the same hose as my 74 Z28 because it fits in the stock bracket location on my 56, Wagner part numbers for Camaros 74-76 f-80970, 70-73 f-73594 and 69 is a f-71379.
