Anyone know if the 55 passenger car is the same as a 57 wagon ignition switch wiring connectors? Mine from Ecklers don't match up for some reason? Mine is a 57 wagon needing engine harness. Geo.

As I understand it the 55-56 ignition switch is different than the 57. Body style shouldn't matter. Isn't a wagon a passenger car? ;)

The 57 switch is different from 55-56, both function and appearance.

The functional difference is that 55-56 has "IGN1" and "IGN2" terminals. One uses the ballast resistor and the other doesn't (the ballast resistor is bypassed for starting). The 57 wiring bypasses the ballast resistor for starting in a different way - the ignition switch is not involved.

The dash and wiring of a wagon is the same as all others as long as the year is the same.

Wiring harness is different all three years. 56 is the first year of a bulk head connecter at firewall. Like others said 55/56 switch same. 57 all by itself.
