Wish I could be long way from here
Sid
Wish you could to sid would love to meet you. I talked with woody of woody's hot rod's while at the nsra nat's in Louisville this event is going to be a good one.
Too far for me to I would like to go someday.
Me too one day!
Well guess I'll be the lone wolf flying the TriFivechevys badge lol.
Yes, I am going. Registered, on eof the first 100 and have hotel booked. It keeps getting more sponsors. Super Chevy signed on this week.
That's my hometown, and I still have a lot of family there. I usually go to the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion there in June. I don't think I can swing both next year. This one should be good. I may have to go to this one instead.
my wife and I are going, im driving my nomad, going to make it a long vacation. were staying at the host hotel . I see theres a few fellows going from my home town. so im sure i'll get to meet a few of you fellows while im there. will have a great time.
Glad to see you guy's are going. Were staying at the host hotel also so look forward to meeting you all just look for the ol 56. While talking with Woody he told me that they were working on a lot of thing's to make this one of the largest TriFive meet's that has ever took place.Good to see things coming together for them.
I'm registered and booked at the host hotel. I'll be driving my '56 panel truck from Victoria, B.C. Canada, which is about 2500 miles from Bowling Green. I spoke to Vince at Woody's this morning, and at this time there's no "official" tour from this area to the Nats. As we'll be travelling solo, I'd be interested in hooking up with other tri-fivers from the Pacific Northwest that are going. Maybe we could put together our own tour?
I'll be there, registered but no hotel yet. Where are you all staying<(host hotel??). Driving the 57 and first time for me at this event. Looking forward to it.
Larry
Hi Larry, I haven't registered yet but have rooms at the host hotel ;)Was talking with a friend the other day he told me he just booked there room and they told him he got the last one at the host hotel. Last I have heard there are already 1100 registered think its going to be a good one.
Giving consideration to blending this into a small photo shoot - dates or the link to the event?
Yeah Nick, I was #1159 when I registered last week so one heck of a turnout. Never been to the Nationals and since I live in Ky I had to get to this one!
Now gotta book a room and see you there next summer.
Larry
So, I looked it up, here is the link in case any NEW MEMBER might want to go and is a bit timid to ask. http://www.thetrifivenationals.com/
Wow, it's still 10 months away and hotels are already booked? I don't know what I'm doing a week from now. Who knows, I may end up going but probably won't know until July. LOL
Thanks Nick going to have to learn how to do that one of these day's :) for the classic chevy guys I think this will be an event that you don't want to miss.
I would like to go too but probably won't know if I can till June or July.
I have the TRIFIVECHEVY.COM Banners on order :)
I bought FOUR . Who is going to the big SHOWS
I will send you one free of charge .
Thanks Sid
Here is what the banner looks like ,
I dont like it ,going to have them redo it
I hope the sponsors are doing as much planning/investing as the individuals making plans. I've never seen so much excitement over a never before held event almost a year in advance. I hope the hype is matched by the event's execution.
Me, I'm not sure what I'll be doing next week or next month, let alone next year. Which probably leaves me out since Bowling Green is such a small place for accomodations.
I'll be going Smooth 56, haven't gotten the room yet. I was looking at the Sync Hotel. But they don't take cancellations should some unfortunate situation arises. So I'll wait til the day gets a little closer. Probably making a mistake. I'm probably going to start looking for Hotel around February or March. Looking forward to meeting you guy's that are going.
Old thread--I have room booked but probably won't be going as wife's hometown is having their 5 year reunion and guess who wins on this front. Am holding on to the room in hopes things might change---will be at the Hot Rod Reunion though if anyone else will be
Smooth. U going to hot rod reunion
June 18-21, nice cars ad great racing
Wish I had known about it earlier could have made that one,we never have anything planed fore June.
Every Fathers day weekend usually. Good guys is coming back there in sept. also
,
Yeah I heard that good guy's were coming back there but we do the shades of the past that month and don't think I can afford to do both. Cost me a small fortune to do the shades lol.
Yall have fun!
Well guys only a couple weeks till we head to B.G. hope to see some of you guys there.
parking in the same spot
Sure wish I could say I was but we wont be in Louisville this year hate to miss that one but I can't swing the time off at work that close together. If the trifive nats don't turn out to be as good as I think it will be we will be there next year and may be anyway's.
I'm considering going to this event for the first time and I'm trying to nail down approximately how many cars generally attend this event? It's a long drive from Michigan and would prefer to know what I most likely am going to see before I make the trip. I'm thinking there are cars being shown, a swap meet area, and hopefully a car corral where cars are being sold, along with the drag races going on. However, we drove quite a ways to the Michigan Super Chevy show and everybody that went with me, and myself, were quite disappointed with the small number of vehicles. It seemed almost all the focus was on the drag strip and race cars, which was the least of the attractions for me. I just don't want to drive 7 hours one way, and spend all the dough to make it happen if it's not a big event.
Thanks,
Great show--over 2100 tri-fives attend---went the last to years--way better than Super chevy(stopped going there years ago)--tri-five cars from all over the country--lots of vendors, great swap meet, great cars and great people.
