Congrats Paul!!! I'm surprised your tires rub. What size tires and what is your wheel offset?

Laszlo,
Front tires are Goodyear Eagles P245/45ZR17's mounted to stock C5 wheels.
I don't suspect the wheel/tire offset is suspect...as I had never adjusted the coilover shocks once I put them in. The spring adjuster nut was set all the way to the bottom when I installed them.
So I've adjusted them up about 1/2 inch each, and that helps alot.
It puts the bottom of frame (at its lowest point at the framerail downturn) at 4 7/8 inches from the ground. It puts the front bumper 7 5/8 inches off the ground.
I cant wait for the rain to stop...so I can take it out around the neighborhood again and test it out.
I still find it strange that your tires rub. I recall that I ran mine all the way up til the shocks bottomed out (without springs) and turned full lock both directions with no rubbing. I have the same size tires on wheels with +50mm offset. Supposedly yours are +56mm if they're the 8.5" wide C5 wheels. But mine is a '56 and yours is a '57, so the fenderwells are shaped differently. Also, my Nomad sits at about 4" off the ground at the lowest point of the frame at designed ride height. That's what my design drawings say too. If you're happy with the stance at 4 7/8" that's great! I just wonder why your tires rub at all.....at any height.
Are your tires rubbing on the inside (inner fenders) or the outside? if you have 8 1/2" wheels you shouldn't have rubbing problems.
Ill get some video post later in the week when the weather clears up.
With the steering wheel clocked all the way to the left, the BACK edge of the passenger tire is hitting the outer fender.Quote:

With the steering wheel clocked all the way to the right, the BACK edge of the driver tire is hitting the outer fender.
Neither hit the inner fender when fully clocked either way.
The rubbing that happened was when body roll occurred at speed (tight turn).
And again, I had not put any compression on the coil over springs after I installed them. The adjuster nuts at bottom of the shock were all the way "loose".
I'll attach my go pro camera to the outer fender and do some testing (now that I've raised it up a bit by tightening up the adjuster nut on the coilover springs about 1/2 inch more). Will post that maybe this weekend if the sun would ever shine again and this water would stop...(no real complaints here...we live in a drought land...so all this water coming out of the sky is actually kind of nice). It just gets in the way of hot rodding 12 months a year. :)
Back to the leaky AN fitting...it appears I fixed one of the leaky bung-to-fittings in the power steering canister, but the other one in the return line continues to seep.
So I just ordered some AN fitting seals from Pegasus Racing Online.

Lets see if this does the trick...
Those same units are available from many Airplane parts houses: https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catal...ickkey=3359945 and https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catal...ickkey=3359945 in case you need other sizes
First drive in the Nomad since I've owned it (8 years now...)
A quick trip around the block with my wife filming from the passenger seat.
This wagon is rough still...not ready for prime time...but once I get a windshield in it, seatbelts in, DMV registration paid (in non-op status currently) and some insurance..I'll be able to start the road testing at length. All while I continue to fabricate alot of interior sheet metal, and such.
Enjoy.

How cool!
Shouldn't you be wearing eye protection since you don't have a windshield? Maybe legally you could squeak by if you did. :)
But I guess since you're driving without registration, seatbelts, or insurance it's moot. Don't let the DMV see that video! :D
