    I don't understand the need for a BBC bell either, If SBC had 11 clutch they are the same. The 605 is scrap iron CCP 500 or Boreson are much better options. Did I miss cooling system upgrade.

    In the early 70s my Dad one of those original buyers advised me collect oem electric motors as vacuum ones sucked. Never had any issues with them on 56. 55 however does fine with raingear.

    Powerpack heads shared same 1.72/1.5 valves as 2 barrel, they had better ports and smaller combustion chambers for higher compression. I believe the cam may have been higher lift in early years too.
