Positive you'll have to trim the beltline molding a bit to allow the belt to exit from the quarter panel. Either a piece trimmed out like I've done, or maybe a small section of the molding flared -...

That pic was a while back. We'e trimmed the garnish mold a bit to allow for belt clearance, and the trimmer will finish the fit, so will leave to him.
Here's a pic of how we trimmed the garnish...
Managed to reduce the size, get it into my albums and went from there.

Re the belts not retracting properly.
I suspect you have "normal" belts which the industry terms "90 degree" belts, where the retratctor and upper mounts are in line. When you mount the...
You could maybe use one of the alternators that look like a generator - think they are called Powergen, and mount the pump down low where it's hard to see.
Did you guys in the USA get the Nissan...
I can get you half way there - Borgeson make a power steering pump bracket that incorporates the engine mount - their part # 802404 for $84.

Here's the reasons the wagon was sold. In late 1976 I heard a 56 Nomad was heading downunder. There was a 55 Nomad I knew of in Sydney but it was not available.
I knew the importer and arranged to...
I have been here for a while but have been more of a lurker. Time to post a bit more.
I found this pic on FB recently, on one of our local hot rodding history pages.
It was taken in January 1976...
Super Chevy magazine added the Nomad bars to a tailgate on a sedan delivery project they did in the 1990's. Yes the Nomad tailgate is 3" longer than the wagon version and the Nomad gate has the...
When I converted my '56 to RHD I moved the battery tray off the firewall and mounted it up front on the right side - I later found out that that is the area where AC cars were mounted. I modified an...

From this pic it looks like the bar is hitting the steering box. Is that the case?
Maybe move the push rod to the other side of the z bar bracket.
Another option might be to move the z bar...
The GTO bolt pattern is courtesy of Holden Australia and the bolt pattern they have on the local Commodore/Monaro - same cars as the Pontiac G8 and GTO, and same platform that GM borrowed from down...
Nomads also have 2 dome lights.
