In my old house things were becoming a little crammed as I was starting to collect oil and gas while stuffing it all inside a 24 x 24 garage next to my 55 Chev.
It wasn't long before I had more...
Can I pick one up around Kelso? lol
Tore the front clip off yesterday and it doesn't look as bad as I first thought. They cut out the rusted floor section and about 4" off the toe boards abefore they overlaid some sheet metal & lap...
Thanks for the quick reply BAM. I found a source today for a guy around here that may have a set of fenders I can work with. Doors can be saved but will need to be stripped to see what's under the...
I've built a few cars in my time, but just bought my first truck. Initial thoughts were for a simple driver but my thinking has changed a bit. I'm leaning towards building a truck to become my...
It's just a passion Sid. Yup...like body and paint. You wanna host the forum end of it?
I built a new website dedicated to vintage gas stations, oil companies of yesterday, and guides on how to restore an old gas pump. There's hundreds of pictures, galleries of a few prestigious oil and...
Couldn't say no to this one! It's a nice clean little driver truck that I'll soon be painting up in an Old Gasoline theme with some hand painted lettering along each side. Gonna use it as my shop...
Same kit that I bought from Inline tube when I made all my stainless lines. Double flared them all and no leaks. Also looked at aluminum fittings and was told by Earl's and a few other that I should...
Thanks for sharing the pics. I love Shepherds and have had a few over the years, but can't have one now as my wife is allergic to dander. Would love to get another working dog or a long hair. Maybe...
Welcome to the site. Sounds like a great build with a drive train many will envy.
I'm going next year and plan to book a room at the Pepper sometime in January. Cool the way you picked up the name. :)
Here's a bit of an update on my 55. Removed the blower last year, freshened up the big block with bigger pistons, a new solid roller cam and a new intake with some serious carb work to dial it in....
Cars looking real good Bob. I'm a big fan of 55 posts and dig the old school wheel you got on there.
Welcome to the site Bob. Love the handle you have. I'm assuming you're a Speed Week fan of the flats. Wanted to go this past week but couldn't shake the time as I was busy with some projects at work.
Thanks Rob. You're not doing too bad there yourself. Took the weekend off from the Oil & Gas and hit a couple cool car shows this weekend. Didn't grab many pictures as I was busy bull shitting with...
Don't think that's going to happen. But you can always come up to Super Chevy in 3 weeks. ;)
Here are some shots of a friends collection here in town. A lot of rare visible pumps, some great signs, vintage hot rods and a couple ex Indy race cars from way back in the day. I'm sure there's...
I went with a Stewart high performance short water pump and got their stage III which is rebuildable. I am running normal direction with a serpentine kit from March performance. Enough clearance for...
I was glad to have finally met you at Good-guys and put a face to the name Laszlo. I was hoping to have seen you again when I got back but we never managed to hook up again that Saturday. Car is...
Here's a few more pictures of the yellow pump that I actually just finished this weekend. It's a G&B 96 that was restored back to it's original brand of Red Head. Found it locally in March of this...
Sid sent me a message a few months ago saying he added a Petroliana section so I figured I'd log in today and see how that's going? OK...so it needs a little help (lol). Myself, I didn't start...
Pulled the 8-71 blower off my 55 the other day and have the complete blower available with intake, carbs, linkages, and custom blower hat for $4850.00 (cost $8200 to build). Also have a gorgeous hood...
Bah...
I still like carbs on a big inch motor! Besides, why do you think GM went away from EFI on their 572 engines? This Dominator is 1250cfm and was ported, polished and worked over with a...
