Chevynut, I tried to send you a pm back but not sure I did it right, let me know if you got it or not. I'd be glad to send you the brackets you need.

Would anyone have a rear cross member? I don't seem to be able to find one. I'm thinking I could make one if I can find the steel to do it with. But haven't ran across a place that sells 2 3/4"...
Did you see how I lifted it Chevynut? I took your advise and it all went perfect.. Thank you!
It's missing. That's why the guy bought the frame I got it from. He needed that one crossmember. I was going to use the one from the old frame but it's really not in good enough shape. It's been...
Almost finished..
This was the scary part! Lol
Does anybody need anything off my old frame? Has good body brackets, frame horns etc.. I'll cut them off for you and leave plenty to weld to. Just pay for the shipping! I hate scrapping something...
I love wagons!
I got the new frame under the 55 today. Everything went smooth. No scratches in the paint, no skinned knuckles. It was a good day.
What about balance of the body? Looks like my only lift points will be under the front of the doors and right in front of the rear wheels. Leaves a lot hanging off the rear. Also I'm having trouble...
Nice truck!
Ok.. I'll give that a shot. I just figured there were too many braces in the way. I was thinking of running a 2x6 with a slot cut in it for the rocker lip for each side and picking it up from there....
Now for my next question..how should I lift the body off the old frame? Do I need to worry about hurting the body if I lift it from the rocker panels? I have a lift, floor jacks and jack stands....
Thanks for all the info guys. Just wanted to make sure it was the right frame. I hate surprises! I'm loving working on it, like I said it's my first 55 and a learning experience. Going to be a nice...
I was pretty sure they were Rick. Just wondering why the new frame has them and the old one doesn't. Things that make you go "humm"!
Thanks guys!
Sorry guys. I take pictures with my smart-phone that makes me look dumb!
Welcome fellow Buckeye!
They look like holes to get access to bolts or something. Doesn't have an x so I guess I'm good there. Thanks for that information! Just seems funny how one frame has them and the other don't. There...
Well the pictures didn't work the way I planned. I cant find the picture with the holes. They are about 2 inches. Edges are rolled in. Ill have to take another tomorrow. Sorry. Danny
Anyone have an idea as to why my replacement frame has 4 large holes in it but the old one don't? These are in the sides of the frame. There is one right behind the trans mount on both sides of my...
TA-DA, Another long day but worth it. POR-15... looks better in person!
This is what I started Sat morning with. I sanded ground and hammered for hours. My mind began to wonder (it does that a lot). What did the car look like that this frame came from? What was the...
That is a nice ride!
Thanks everyone!
