    old engine/tranny pulled.. finally

It was "one of those years" in 2012. Not much time to work on car, etc.

Hopefully 2013 will be better. I got the old engine (305) and tranny (super t-10) pulled out today. I used a 2-ton shop crane and load leveler from Harbor Freight and must say it went almost flawlessly.

Gonna be sore in the morning, I'm sure.

Are reusing the Super T10. Nothing wring with the HF hoist if it has the supposed 8 ton ram. In high school I built a shop crane out of heavy wall 2 inch tubing from the Allis Chalmers plant. I now have a 8 ton HF ram on it.

"not much time to work on cars..."

Man, I can relate to that comment!

Glad to hear that you did something to the car, and got started. That's always the hardest part.
Post some pics so we can see what you're up to.

    No.

Plan is either a t-56 magnum or a 4L85E (or similar). Still deciding on 2 vs 3 pedals

Reall Hotrods have 3 pedals and solid lifters, juice cams and slush boxes are for grocery getters.
