Trying to see if a 55 2 door post will fit on a 56 frame. Thanks in advance.

Yes it will work on any 55 or 56 4-door sedan, 2-door sedan or wagon frame. The 2D hardtops have an extra body mount between the hump and the center of the door that can be removed and then it's essentially the same. 4DHT frames have the center outboard body mount in a different position.
