The casting number is located on the driver side rear, at the top edge of the block.
56 Nomad, Ramjet 502, Viper 6-speed T56, C4 Corvette front and rear suspension

The number 1221022557 doesn't look right. It looks like all the blocks started with 125

Thanks Chevynut, your information was helpful. I found the number 12559378. I took this LS1 motor out of a 2002 Z28 Camaro. It had 4k miles, and been in storage till now.
The information says it's a 1999-2000. I guess they had a lot of extra's since they knew that it was the last year of those motors.

Here is the information I have on that casting number.
It is a 2000 Firebird/Camaro LS1 5.7L (346" cid) Cored rear cover oil passage, improved oil distribution and flow.
The powerplant was rated at 305 horsepower for this year. That is for the Firebird/Camaro.
