I am looking for help. I have a 1955 210 with "RUST" issues . the A post are just about beyond repair. I have looked all over and no one makes the outer a post patch panel's, that I can find. I know that I am not the only one out here that has pulled the chrome off of the a post and found this. Any help would be appreciated.
This can be done if you have a donor car. I cut a couple of nice patch panels off of a Colorado car for another Tri-fiver some years ago, and he repaired the entire A-pillar area on a 55 wagon. He replaced the cowl section all the way to the vent grill.

I would love to cut out the bad parts on my a post and put in new peace's. the problem that I have is that all the cars that I have looked at are even worse then my car. this after I have called the person that has the car and he says that "yea its a good car " and you load your trailer drive 2 hrs and then you look at it and you smile and say < "s**t"> its a good car , but its just not what I was looking for. do you know where I can find a rt and a lf side top a post?
Post a picture of the offending post and let's see if someone might have what you need.
You can buy new reproduction a pillars for the 55 & 56 sedans. One seller has them on eBay for $729.95 each.
