Wow, I didn't know I could post as "unregistered". I guess I jumped the gun a little.

    Hi Chevynut,

No worries; we're still correcting small issues from the port of PHPBB to vBulletin. We should have everything corrected in a day or two. If you (or any other user) have bug reports please email webmaster@trifivechevys.com and we'll add them to our shrinking list.

    Great Nomad by the way!

Just sanded the entire back end including taillights, tailgate opening, and tailpan...lotsa "tails". Applied what I think is my last coat of Slicksand so I'll sand it tomorrow, and hopefully shoot the K36. Then I'll install the tailgate and liftgate and check for final fitment.

After that, INTERIOR construction. I have to install front 3-point harnesses, rear seatbelts, then build a rear seat structure and a full-length console.

I plan to roll the car outdoors after it's all together and get some good pics.

Don't know if I could put a "Pinto" color on my Nomad.

I'm still looking at colors but have a few that I like pretty well. I plan to narrow it down then buy a few ounces of 3-4 colors and spray them to see which I like the best.

Got the rest of the blocking and primering done today, and it's all in final primer. Got the tailgate, taillights, and rear bumper back on and will roll it outside tomorrow for a photo shoot.

    Will post more pics soon.

    Today's pics!

Pushed the car out for the first time in months! The tailgate gaps are better than they look here, since there's a shadow on the driver's side and the tailgate is sitting too far inboard at the top (no bumpers installed). Here's some new pics:

Some more....I eliminated the 56 tailight seals. The taillights have about a 1/32" gap all the way around, and don't touch the body anywhere except at the mounting screws.

The past week I finished re-fitting my tailgate with some new hinges, and worked on finishing up my front seat mounts. I'm using 2000 Eldorado bucket seats and I had to replace a motor in the driver's seat. I bought a spare seat frame a couple years ago so I had some spare motors. Don't have any more pics yet, but may post a couple of the seat mounts when I finish them.

That's looking killer so it is. Love the work you did in prepping the body so well, and totally dig that shroud you put across the rad section. Can't wait to see it all painted up and coming back to life, but may need a new drool blanket when those pictures are posted. Keep up the great work Laszlo. It's the nicest 56 Nomad I have ever seen.
