    Carburetor Model?

OK, so I purchased this 1955 Chevy pickup with a 1974(?) 350 engine (Engine Casting #3970010) and the 4-barrel carburetor shows evidence of leaking. Attempted to find the Model Number, but can only find" "Carter Carburetor manufactured for GMC" embossed on the body of the carb. No tags, no stamps on the base of the carb that I can see. Want to purchase an overhaul kit, but?!?

It's gotta be a Quadrajet if it's the original 74 carb. They were made by both Carter and Rochester. And there has to be a number on it somewhere.

    Without a number, I'd buy a kit for a 74 350.

All Q-jets of this era have a # on drivers side to the rear starting in 70. If I am wrong let me know and I will go out and look at the carb on my 74 Z28. It is all OEM.

Carb removed, no numbers - took it to Napa and they could not find numbers either, but we were able to find a kit that will work. Thanks for the suggestions!
