just fyi, thought you all might want to know, i finally figured out the tire concern for what size tires to put on the front of my 55 chev., wound up with 215/70/15's on the front, and no problems with rubbing or scraping!!!!!!! they fill the fender well very nicely, and look great!!!!!!!!

That's a pretty tall front tire, 26.9" About like a Jr. Stocker tire from days of old. Cool! What wheel back space?

I run that size on the ft of my 55 with 275/60/15 rear [minitub] and 225/70/15 all the way around on my 56. Both cars use Chevelle roters and no rub issues.
