See some rust bugs peeking out from the roof skin. He should have sold it ten years ago when he was "getting around to it".

Rust bucket. But if it's for $2000 it's worth it for at least some parts. I bet the $2000 price on the ad isn't for the Nomad.

What Pinto? I see some big Ford-looking wagon, a caddy, and a boat motor.

If it sounds too good to be true, and its been listed for 12 days, then it probably is.

I sent a reply too, but nothing back. Probably bogus.

Last week my brother sent me a CL ad for a '69 Camaro in Montana, near him. The ad said a woman was selling her "late husband's Camaro that has been taking up space in her garage for 4 years" and she needed the room. The picture was a red Z/28 with black stripes, 4-speed, and was a beautiful car. The ad had no phone number, no e-mail, and it said to come to her house between 5PM and 8PM. The price was $8500.

I told my brother to get over there asap and grab it if it was really the car in the pic. Turns out the husband of one of my sister-in-law's co-workers went over there at noon with cash to be first in line. The woman came home for lunch and she asked what he was doing there....he said "I came to buy the Camaro"...she said "what Camaro?"

Now who would post a bogus ad like that and WHY? I would report it to the cops and have them charged with fraud. I'm sure CL could figure out who posted the ad.

Bait set.. Somebody was going to get rolled for their cash.. while the ad's poster was there to "look" at the same car.
