    Axle Perch Gussets

    I have done this on my race cars but never a street car until now, anyone else bent their purches. When I pulled my Dana
    for some repairs to housing the perches were dent.

    I am a little surprized that noone else has had this issue, my 396 is not that potient of moter.

    Are you talking about an axle perch that looks like the stock one? Or a different design, like on a 60s Camaro or Nova?

    I've never had a problem with the stock type axle perches myself, even with slapper bars.

    I have never seen a Camaro style perch destroyed, except for 1st gen Camaro when T bolts were used and in cases of wheel hop existed. Second gen Camaro fixed issue with 0ne U bolt per side. However the stock 55-57 style perch I have seen destroyed many times on them as well as Fairlanes and Torino from the 60s.
