    Odometer Problem

My odometer failed and I picked up one at a swap meet. Then I proceeded to replace the numbers (matching the mileage from the old odometer of course) and I didn't think it though very well. Now the sequence that the numbers advance is incorrect, because like a dumb a**, I just stuck the numbers on to match what my old odometer was. Is there any way to correct this, even if I need new number strips, how do I apply them so that they advance when they are supposed to?

    Thanks,
    Jim

seems like all I did was spin the reel in one direction until all the numbers matched horizontally, then installed the reel. I remember it took a couple of tries, but once I had it set and in, it changed the numbers correctly. it only took a couple minutes to do it. I will take a look at mine tomorrow and see if I remember the sequence exactly and will let you know. I did mine about a year ago so have to refresh my memory!
