    rear end change

    changing from a stock 55 rear end to a 10 bolt will the drive shaft length be the same??

    Which !0 bolt Good one 8.5 or the same as stocker 8.20 oe the weak 7.5. All rhe 7.5 and some of the 8.5 require a conversion joint at a minimum. I did not change shaft with a 12 Bolt, bot had to shorten it when I switched to a 57 Olds 9.3.

    Charlie, best thing to do would be to install it and measure. Or you could measure both from the center of the housing to the center of the u-joint.
