    Hello everybody

Hi everyone, Just wanted to introduce myself. While im here let me ask you 2 questions.

    1. Have any of you ever heard of a "special interest 3 door '57 150"? I know there are 4 doors, that people have made into 2 doors. So I assume that you could just do one side of a 4 door to get a three door, but a guy selling his is saying its from the factory. What do you think?

    2. My other question is about the estimated cost of a 2 door hardtop '57 Bel Air. It is originally a 283 car, single 4 barrel with a P/G. But he took that out(and saved it, it comes with the car) and installed a 350/350 combo. The original interior is pretty damn good, he has the plastic covers on the seats, so they are almost perfect, everything else is there just a little worn out. It is a P/S car, no a/c, no p/w and no p/b, 84,000 miles. Has one repaint, solid body, Poly bushings, front and rear sway bars, strong running fresh 350 bored 40 over, fresh turbo 350 with shift kit and 2300 stall. Flow master dual exhaust. Also it is a triple turquoise car

Welcome to the site. I seriously doubt the "3-door" is a factory deal as I've never heard of one before. As far as the value of the 57 HT, it's hard to say without seeing it. A few years ago a really nice 2DHT driver may have been worth $30-35K. Today maybe $20-25K.

GM did make a bunch of strange iterations for various gov't agencies, some with glass on only one side of a delivery.. I'd think it's possible, but I'd need to see the inside of some original panels or some pictures documenting it before a restoration took place. There are three door versions running around, mostly owner conversions..

I think Chevynut may be lowballing you a bit on the price. Or lowering the expectation of "nice".

But that's the trouble, not everyone does have the same definition of "nice".

Prices are all over the place, and I see several under $20K and some in the $30K range. And yes, "nice" is relative. The last one above looks pretty nice to me, but you really have to see the car.
