Hello, I just discovered this great forum. I have a boy and girl both under 5 years old, so not sure why I'm picking now to start back on the '57 haha. I bought my '57 210 4dr sedan(wish it was a 2dr) when I was 15, now 22 years later I have finally decided to work on it, where does the time go?. I'm wanting to take the 283 out which I rebuilt when I was 17. The only thing I have done was installed drop spindles, disc brakes, power brake booster and bought a 8.5" diff with rear discs. I now acquired a 2003 5.3L LS motor and 4L60E and hope to get that in there soon. This summer hopefully entails swapping the oil pan, installing side engine mount brackets on the frame, and getting that 5.3L/4L60E in there. Then, get rear leaf spring frame pocket mounts in so I can get the 8.5" diff in there. Looks like this in the best forum for this kind of swap so here I am.
