    I occasionally read about people that have sand rails. I've never seen one personally and never heard of a sand drag event anywhere near here. Don't know anything about the sport.

    Maybe it's because we have either mud or dust here in TX except at the beach. Even the beaches don't have sand like elsewhere.

    We do have two great locations for sand dunes in this part of the country. One is near Monahans, TX and the other is called "Little Sahara" near Waynoka, OK. I've tested some REALLY big industrial vehicles for my work at Little Sahara. Fun and different. Lots of dune buggies and motorcycles at Little Sahara but have never seen a dragster.

    I have a friend who builds sand rails and trucks with LS engines in them. They race them a lot in the Red Desert in Wyoming.
