Bent door hinge mounts?

I was looking at my nomads door hinges and noticed all of them are deformed at the mount to the body. 2 have cracks. Why would this be? Was it a way to align the doors or? The hinges are still sound and swing nice and close without issue.

Those are just covers, they don't have any effect on hinge operation unless they are bent to where they are in the way of hinge motion.

I have seen this on quite a few cars, not sure what causes it. They aren't hard to straighten.
