I think it looks good, and pardon my Photoshop hack, but what if you cut the tip at an angle so that it follows the bottom edge of the pipe? Might be a little more stealthy from the side, of course this is after it is finished, polished and installed, figured you might need a little more work, lol

Another step closer. Picked up the stainless radiator hose tubes yesterday and they look pretty good. In retrospect, I almost wish I would have just welded mine together as planned, saving some money and time, but it's done and it looks nice. Got both ends of both tubes beaded and sanded and polished them....

The upper tube took quite a bit of sanding to remove machine marks before polishing, but I think it turned out good. I installed them with sections of hoses and Gates PowerGrip clamps except at the radiator, where I used gear clamps. That way I can remove the radiator if I ever need to without cutting the Gates clamps. I also put the Gates clamps on the bypass hose. Still have to shrink the clamps.

I sure like the way these Gates PowerGrip clamps look a lot better than any gear clamp. They're supposed to have really good retention too.
Here's the lower hose with the clamps shrunk onto it. I like the way they hide the ugly hose ends too, when installed this way.

Those do give it a nice finished look. The only downside would be if you need to get them apart, but that is usually not an issue with a car that is not your daily driver. Every thing is looking good!!

The way I see it I would only need to cut one Gate's shrink clamp to remove the hoses/tubes. There's a gear clamp at each radiator connection (both are hidden behind panels), and none of the other connections need to come apart except at the water neck and water pump. I could always re-install it with a gear clamp if I didn't have a Gates shrink clamp handy.
I would have used a solid rubber hose on the bottom if I could find one to fit, but what are the odds? At least this one can't collapse.

I finally got a working XP laptop from my son to connect to the C950 ECU only to find out that it doesn't have a serial port. So I had to order a parallel to serial adapter for it.
Still working on my power steering pump/reservoir before I can fire up the engine. I searched all over for a power steering reservoir that would fit somewhere, and it's on the way here. It has an AN10 outlet and I ASSumed that my pump inlet fitting was AN10 without measuring it. So I ordered some AN10 hose and hose ends. Well, today I assembled one end and tried to put it on the pump.....I immediately knew it was the wrong size.
Just about every reservoir and pump I've looked at has AN10 connections. Apparently S&P thought AN8 was big enough. I thought I could just un-thread the fitting (expected it to be an 0-ring to AN adapter) but it was pressed in and it looks to me like S&P made it out of an AN8 to AN10 coupling. I turned it and eventually it came out....nothing holds it in except the o-ring and a press-fit :

So now I have to get an AN10 coupling and machine one end to match the S&P part...good thing I have a lathe . I don't see how I can thread the pump body to screw a fitting in. It's always something...that reservoir had better fit!

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that I got the electrical connector pigtail and it doesn't fit. I don't know what the hell kind of connector they're using on it. The S-574 connector looks very similar, but it won't plug in. I have contacted a Viper parts place that's parting out a few cars to see if they'll sell me a pigtail off of the transmission harness. If that fails, I'll find another kind of connector. It needs to be 3-contact and small.

With all the nice painted, plated and polished surfaces in the engine bay, they make the plastic fan shroud look a bit tired. Any plan to improve its appearance?

I'd just junk that connector altogether, and get a 3 wire Weatherpak style one. Easy to find those...If that fails, I'll find another kind of connector. It needs to be 3-contact and small.
