CN, you make me hate my car. lol
I know how much money I have in my car and it's not half the car your is going to be so I hope you spent twice as much as I did on my car so I dont feel half as bad as I do. lol
Thanks Doc. I've gotten to the point that it doesn't matter how much I spend, I just buy what I need to get to the next step. I have all my receipts and records, but I quit totaling them a couple or more years ago. I get a little frustrated that I have to make so many parts because I can't find what I need, or I spend just as much time looking for the parts as I would making them! I saved myself two trips to Tubes-N-hoses (30 minutes each way) and probably $80 by modifying those bulkhead fittings...but I looked for a solution for at least an hour online....LOL.
Anyhow, the chassis is getting SO CLOSE to being FINISHED! Still haven't completely decided to use those expansion joints in my exhaust....did you use any? Seems like some guys do and some don't.

The past few days I've been working on raising my travel trailer up a bit since it was almost dragging the ground. It has a torsion axle so it wasn't just a matter of re-arching springs or adding shackles. I had to design and build some 5" tall blocks to put between the frame and axle...but it's done. Also got new 15" wheels and tires to replace the teeny 13s on it from the factory. Now I should be able to get further into the backcountry with it.
I received the parts for the rear brake lines from Summit today, so I pulled the through-frame fittings out, machined off the 2AN ends, and drilled and tapped them for 1/8" NPT. Now the brake hose can go straight down along the side of the frame.

Then I attached the Russell brake lines and they fit perfectly. Time to do something about those calipers, though.

I like the new routing of those brake lines. Much better and no issue with catching a tire upon suspension movement.
Sort of. Just haven't posted any pics or updates lately. I did recently get my ECM reflashed. But that's not a picture worthy event just yet.I guess nobody else here works on cars, huh?

Yeah Paul I tried every which way to route those lines and going down was the best solution. Thanks for the suggestion months ago!

Well, I'm not sure you found the best route at all. Two 90's working against each other?
Popcorn anyone?
Do two 90 degree turns make it a 180? I'm pretty confident that the brake fluid isn't going to be negatively affected going through those two 90 degree elbows. LOL! The brake lines are free to move up and down.
I got back from a week in Acapulco Saturday and my ARP bolts were here. So I assembled the front swaybar links. Now both the front and rear suspensions are finished (except for torquing the balljoints and alignment).

Still trying to decide what to do with the calipers. I'll probably paint them but I'm not sure what color......leaning towards matching the frame color. I'm either going to rebuild the rear calipers myself or exchange them for rebuilt ones.
I'm going to start the final blocking and priming of the body and try to get it ready for paint in a few weeks.
