    I don't know what your thread was, as it wouldn't open by the link for me. I priced having Vintage Air make the crimps on the hoses for me & was able to buy a crimp kit on Amazon for about the same $ they would have charged. If you're interested, it's

    I had my interior A/C hoses crimped at The Parker Store where I bought my hoses and some of my fittings. Cost? FREE!

    that's the same kit I bought, from the same online vendor, for the same price.
    I have crimped all of my AC fittings now, and only time will tell if they actually hold tight (once I finish this custom Nomad build). That may be a year or more...

    I bought the hand held hyd crimper.

    I have used it for a/c lines, pwr steering hoses, fuel lines,
    all with great success,
    I loan it to a friend when he needs it , he does custom a/c installs,

    so . yes, valuable tool.
