That is a very nice car, I love the powerplant would love to have one like it in my second 56 HT.
Beautiful car, and I love the color too. The workmanship is incredible, especially the hood . But the interior is lacking, imo, and why would anyone these days pick a SBC with carburetors on it? I know it's probably his customer's decision, I just don't get it with all the cool stuff out there to choose from. Must be a nostalgia thing.

So what would you put on your old school SBC, CN??
If it was mine I would have gone with some sort of cool EFI system at a minimum, even if it was a SBC. When you put that kind of money into a car, why in the heck would you put two antiquated carbs on top of the engine? If it was supposed to have an "old school" theme, I get it. But the rest of the car doesn't seem to.

I like your options, .. very different, very nice, and probably very expensive...
PS. even the dual 4-bbl are beyond my range..
I think the premise here was to have a period correct (as much as possible) car that could have been built in the late 50's/early 60's. I think Cody did quite a bit of research before they settled on the color, a rare 1957 Cadillac color. So from that to the minimalistic Austin Healey seats to the door panels, all the VISIBLE components were something that could have been from that era.. This is the third makeover this car has been through with the same owner. Given Cody's influence and skills, the owner decided on more of a traditional hot rod.
Edit..... note the year on the modified PA tag.....

I totally get it, I built my 55 to look like the cars I admired growing up in the 60s. I was too young to buy one then, When I got my first car in the early 70s a 56ht I did not have the money or talent. It was too easy to buy a Camaro and go. What diff. & trans. did they choose
