    exhaust sounds

    I have flowmaster 40,s with no H or X pipe . How do get rid of that snappy cheap glasspack sound ? Resonators?

    Is the concern the sound at idle, on acceleration, or the rat-tat-tat when you let off the gas? I personally like Magnaflow or Borla. I've never been a fan of Flowmasters and the 40's are some of the loudest ones they sell.

    If you like the Flowmaster sound but the 40s are too much, try a 50 or a 70. 70 is the same as a 50 except a longer case.

    As said, a crossover, either X or H, will also tame it and change the tone a bit.

    A "resonator" is just a small muffler. You could add a pair of glass packs in the tailpipe if you can find the room.
