    CPP 500 box and 2 1/2" Ram's horn exhaust

Getting ready to switch to power steering and was wondering if a 500 box will fit with my 2 1/2 rams horn manifold's. Currently the stock box fits but it is close. From what I have researched so far, the two boxes are identical size wise but just want to make sure before I get the kit from Jalopina.

Should be no problem, my 56 has SBC and 500 PS with motor in stock location and snug but adequate clearance.

One more thing, is there a difference between a borgeson 600 delphi box and the cpp 500 box?

Should fit with about 1/4" clearance. There are better prices out there then from Jalopina (LOL, must be his wife) Auto City Classic sells them for less for one.

I have never seen a Delphi or Borgenson box for one of these cars installed. Still a lot of 600 leak jobs around, seeing more CPP 500s all the time.

My setup is 500 box with SBC with 3/4 forwards side mounts and it fits with my Stainless Works 1 3/4 headers. Plenty of clearance

ok, next question? Is there a difference in pump pulleys between short water pumps and long water pumps or are the brackets the only thing different?

Well I ordered the kit from Auto City Classics. $529 vs. $669 at Summit racing. And it came with the correct rag joint for a Ididit column.

Pulleys are different between swp and lwp. If you have a lwp crank pulley and a swp pump brackets and pulley without AC it will work well. I define work well as belt stays on at 7500 rpm.

I used a 3rd gen Camaro rag joint because it was free and an 80s S10 for same reason.
