Welcome aboard, Joe. When you are ready, please post pics of your 4dr to 2dr conversion. Always interested in seeing how different people tackle projects such as that. I have a 4dr sedan and have considered lengthening the car enough to use longer front doors from a 2dr sedan up front...... But keeping it a 4dr. The ease of entry up front and extra legroom in rear would be nice.
Or just the opposite...... Make the car into a 2-seater having similar dimensions as a mid-'50s T-bird. Adding front doors from a nomad wagon (the shape and curve of the door glass would be just right for what I have in mind) along with a convertible windshield setup and shortened folding top. Maybe take 10 - 12" from the rear quarters just in front of rear wheels and shorten car by that much to maintain desired proportions.
