    Smile New to Chevy Tri-Five

    Proud to have a 1957 Chevy 210 4-door! I do have a question: Why is having a 4-door not as popular as a 2-door?

Welcome to the site. 4-doors have typically been seen as "family cars", not hotrods. Kids growing up today have seen a lot more 4-door cars than 2-door cars so they don't have the same 4-door stigma.

Welcome aboard, Beverly. Look forward to hearing more about your '57. My present project car is also a '57 210 4dr sedan. I like it just as much as the 2dr sedans and business coupes I've had in past years. Don't concern yourself with those who think 4drs aren't where its at. Just enjoy your car and let the 2dr guys think what they will. FWIW...... Your 4dr weighs about 80 lbs. more than a 2dr and that weight is right where you need it to get these cars closer to a 50/50 weight distribution if you are into setting them up for handling as I am.

    Best regards,

    Harry
