gents, I've got a 55 210 with a std. heater. the heater control switch has gone bad. this switch is the rheostat type. I can't find this piece anywhere online, any help would be appreciated!

Welcome to the site. I guess I've never seen a "standard" heater. Was that an option?

I can count the number of std heaters I have seen in my life on one hand. I would suggest converting to deluxe, with all the vintage air conversions out there I have seen many nice deluxe heaters cheap at swap meets. I do not believe any repo parts are available for std heater. My 55 150 was born std and partially converted prior to my purchase. I finished the job.

I guess if I had known I would have this problem 50 yrs. ago I might not have bought this car! (LOL)
what are the odds of finding one used?
thanks for the input, I guess I will convert to the deluxe!

From my experience the "deluxe" heater is more standard than the "standard" heater.

I used to go to the junkyard almost every Saturday in the early 70s when there were hundreds of these cars in them and like I said Standard heaters were very rare then.

I guess I am using the correct terminology. the switch I have is only one knob that turns on to its highest speed and as you turn clockwise the blower motor slows down therefore that tell me that its a rheostat. I saw one yesterday on google under1955 images just like mine.
