Anyone have an idea what a stock 3.36 open third member weighs, just the jug. I have a guy who wants to buy one.

I have never weighed one but had mine out to re-seal it a few years back I'd guess about half of what a Muncie 4 speed weighs or less. Maybe 35 to 50 lbs. range, just a guess though. I could be way off.

bathroom scales will give you a close approximation.. .. ie. take the scale to the garage, rather than the diff to the bathroom..
Of course... but only with wheels.. not juice-dripping differentials..
I weigh just about everything I ship with a bathroom scale. I've even weighed complete frames and clips on pallets. Seem simple to me, if you own a high tech piece of equipment like that.

you know CN... you don't even have to try to 'balance' your frames on the scale... It's easier if you just step on the scale, weigh yourself, then pickup the frame (or pallet) and step back on the scale... count the number of times the needle goes round, multiply by 300, then add the final scale setting...
I don't balance the frame, I weigh each end and add them together.
