Got my "care" package from Madmooks . It sure is motivating to get more parts, especially when they look like these. He sent everything but the latches which is what I really need to finish my tailgate assembly. These parts are just amazing in person....like jewelry. The quality is second to none. I have chromed pieces for a lot of this stuff but Madmooks billet stainless parts put them to shame, and these will last forever. Yeah, they're not cheap and probably over-kill, but who cares.

I also have a bunch of his other parts like the liftgate anti-rattle plate, liftgate gas struts, tailgate cover, door glass anti-rattle strips, and a few other pieces. Mike also straightened and chromed my liftgate and all 22 pieces of interior trim, plus my smoothie front bumper. He's working on new parts and expanding beyond tri5 Chevys too. I think he found a great niche for high quality reproduction parts.

When do the polished stainless Nomad tailgate bars come out?
Thanks Paul. The bars are actually something I discussed with Laszlo recently . We looked into doing them including the center bar and handle . The attachment points are the hurdle . I wanted to do a threaded stud but it’s very hard to reach the bottom holes with ur arm . It would be costly to do either way, studs or clips. So for now we will probably pass. But they would look really slick machined stainless

Yes, stainless is the forever material. If only the whole car could be made out of stainless............... wheels, frame, body, bumpers, braces, brackets, and all the trim.

Rust, scratches and blisters from moisture would never (in our lifetime) be any concern. But the buffing wheel would get a work out.

I've been gone hunting lately and working some on the HEMI55 floor, but I have been doing a few things on the Nomad. I finally installed the last tailgate bar on the tailgate and quit worrying about the quality . I figure if I decided some day to change them I could, but I'm not doing it now. Still no Nomad script.

I also decided to cut the holes in the valence for the A/C vents. The yellowish pieces are some detail I may use under the leather to make a raised area around the vents so it's not so boring. I may re-shape them a little....or not use them at all. I would do it by shaping the metal if I knew how to do that. I still have to cut the switch holes.
