GFY markm. You've never really "built" a car in your life. In fact, I've never seen anything you've ever built or fabbed yourself.

My car is worth more unfinished than all of your junk put together.

Another stupid comment from the troll who has not had a Classic car on the road in this century.

I've owned and driven a few classic cars this century, and currently own a 1950 Chevy 1.5 ton fire truck with only 2.5kmi, from my family's hometown in NW Kansas. My dad and grandpa bought 55's new when I was 2, and it was my first memory of any car. But I have never driven a 1955 Chevy yet. They both had the 2 different glacier blue color combos, which I plan to use the at least the glacier blue with ivory which wasn't an option. I hope to driving my 55 in less than 2 years too many, finished or not. Driving an actual old car/truck is an awesome experience that is hard to explain, and can be a blast even at 45mph with 85 horsepower. Zero fun parked in the shop all polished up though. Done that too many times already, taking care of it for the next owner.

Chevynut, I am not sure what I am seeing: what is that inside the o and d on the script?
    Regards, Doug

Tri5 Nomad scripts are gold and I didn't want any gold on my car. Danchuk makes one for a 58 Nomad that's the same casting but plated matte silver. I wanted shiny chrome so this is an NOS Nomad script I sent to Ogden Chrome for plating. I also got chrome quarter crests and dash "BelAir" script.

They all have the "o" and "d" filled.

Wonder why they made them that way. To me they would look better with the O & D open in the middle like the rest of the letters.

Looks good, but it might look even better with the 2 centers painted close to body color.

Or one could just leave it off ... or design your own if one desires to be CUSTOM...

That's where the pins are. I'm putting all the stock emblems on my car but not with the gold finish. That's custom enough for me.

I even have some NOS rocker trim, NOS fender rock guards, and NOS fender birds but not sure I want to use any of those.

looks good Laszlo. I vote to paint the inside of the o and a the same as the body color. it will make the centers disappear to most observers.
Nice... wonder if Madmooks Mike is lurking here and scheming to come up with scripts in polished stainless.
