Welcome to the site. Pretty sure Woody's just sells the bodies but Real Deal Steel actually assembles them. The guys who started RDS are from the original CCI.

Starting from a bare body sounds like an expensive proposition, and nothing is original. The body alone is $22K and that's just the tip of the iceberg, so to speak. There's tens of thousands of other parts you'll need. Also not sure how it gets licensed up in Canada. But if you understand all of that, go for it!

Good luck with your car, Graham and welcome to TriFiveChevys.com! I have an original Canadian built '57 210 4dr sedan. A while back, I toyed with the idea of getting one of the new bodies (2dr sedan and having my Texas issued car title modified by DMV here). Monetarily, it is just about a wash if you have to make a choice between having a professional restoration shop replacing many body panels and/or floor pans or rockers...... And purchasing a new body shell. Less expensive, if you have the skills and equipment to replace these body parts yourself, of course.

    Happy Motoring,

    Harry
