    New to the Group...maybe

    Hello everyone,

I'm Eric from Nebraska. I've joined because I need some help. I'll post a separate thread.

Someone wants to trade a 55 2dr hardtop for my 2008 Challenger SRT8 (sorry, I've always been a Mopar guy ). I love the 55, but have no experience with 55's and NO IDEA what it is really worth.

Thanks in advance for any and all help and advice.

Welcome to the site. The Mopar will continue to depreciate over time, but the 55 will retain value or even appreciate with time if it's a nice car. Value is all over the place, but with more info we could probably give you a ballpark.

Hi Chevynut. I can't believe your bashing my Mopars right off the bat .

I started a post under the "stock 55-57" header with more details about the 55 I'm kicking around.

    Thank You

Not bashing, just stating the facts. I like the Challengers.

Welcome to the site...I like the 60's mopars. Not a fan of the hood scoop on the one below, but car sits nice! CN just stating the facts when comparing a trifive to others...especially late model stuff.

Hey Maybe, welcome aboard - every Sunday, I drive by a bone stock MOPAR as pictured above in JT56 post and salivate all the way to Texarkana, some day I'll stop so he can tell me it's not for sale.

I was born around the muscle car era. I am a big fan of four wheel disc brakes, fuel injection and a transmission with at least five gears.

The ford is a sentimental favorite. The '73 was my first car and the '08 was my first new car.

I used to know a guy who owned a bar in the 80s [now deceased] who owned a sweet 67 Corvette 327 4 speed he traded it for a similar value C4 Corvette. One of the last times I spoke with him he was commenting on how that 80 something Corvette value crashed and the 67 climbed in 5 short years.

    Thanks.

I blame this bad habit on my Dad.
