front end wobble when brakes are applied!

sorry, I forgot to say my car is a 55 210
when I apply the brakes the front wobble from side to side. I don't know if this has anything to do with the fact that I still have the original drum brakes or not but I will be converting to disc in the near future. I intend to check the tie rod ends to see if the need to be replaced. any help will be appreciated!

Check your balljoints and tie rod ends. It's possible the front end is toeing out when you apply the brakes, causing the "shimmy".
