Cool This might be a stupid question....

    Hello

I have a 1956 Chevy 210 V8 car its a 4 door. The dog dish hubcaps were on the car before they were stolen. I seen some hubcaps with white paint painted around bowtie log and I have some seen with black paint...

Does this mean anything? Does one symbolize a (white paint) 6 cylinder other (black paint) 8 cylinder engine.

Maybe I am "over thinking this"?

I'm new to Tri five chevys.

    Thanks
    Pete

This is a guess but I am going to say one is for a 55 and the other is for a 56. I doubt the 6 and V8 had different hubcaps. Look at one of the vendor catalogs like H&H or Ecklers and they should show them.

55 and 56 dog dish caps identical except for color, 55 trimmed in black and 56 in white.
